Thanks for attending the
Third Annual Dave Simmons ALS Golf Tournament!
May 10, 2014
All proceeds from this event will benefit ALS research in memory of Dave Simmons, a former physical education teacher with 35 years exemplary teaching and coaching experience with Harford County Public Schools. ALS – or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis - is a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, it most commonly strikes our friends and family members between the ages of 40 and 70. As many as 30,000 Americans are diagnosed with this debilitating disease at any given time. Currently, there is no cure for ALS and only the funding provided by your generous donations will support research leading one day to a cure. That is the legacy we know Dave would want to leave to the community he did so much to serve.
Legacy Table
Help us recognize all of our loved ones that have been and are affected by ALS. Bring a framed picture of your loved one to place on the Legacy Table for the day- so we can all see the faces of ALS.
